Annual Parochial Church Meeting

This year’s APCM will be on Sunday 17th March 2019 after the Parish Mass.
In 2019, we have to compile a completely new Electoral Roll, which means you need to complete a form, whether you have previously been on the Electoral Roll or not.
Forms are available in Church, or you can download one below.
Please make sure you have returned your form by 17th February.

Pastoral Reorganisation

There is currently a process of formal consultation regarding proposals to merge some Parishes in Gosport, so we can serve the people of the town better.

As part of this scheme, it is proposed that St John’s closes as a Parish Church, and becomes a “mission hub” working across the whole town.  This means we would no longer be required by law to have a Sunday service and do weddings, Christenings and funerals – although we might well want to keep doing some or all of those things.

You can read the official paperwork below.  If you have any questions or comments, please come in and chat to Mother Carrie, or use the contact form

Open Church

On the first Wednesday of every month, the Church is open from 7:00 until 9:00 pm for anyone to come in, light a candle, pray, reflect, drink coffee, chat or just be.  Everyone is welcome – please do drop in!

Good Stuff coming up…

Before anyone invented Google calendars or Facebook events, the Church had its own way of letting everyone know the dates of things: the Epiphany Proclamation.
