Saint John’s Church is on Forton Road, near the Crossways.
You’ll find us next door to the Crown Bingo hall (the Criterion), opposite Tesco Express (which used to be Madeline’s pub).

By bus:
Bus numbers 81, 83, 85 and 86 all stop within a minute’s walk of the Church – ask for the Criterion.

By bicycle:
Gosport has a good network of cycle routes, and the main cycle track passes right by the Church.

By train:
Ha ha. Gosport hasn’t had a working train station for about 50 years.
But if you’re coming from further afield, get the train to Portsmouth Harbour, then come across to Gosport on the wonderful Gosport Ferry.  From the Ferry, it’s about a 15 minute walk or a short bus ride to the Church.

By car:
There is some parking in the layby in front of the Church, but it is limited. You may be able to park in nearby side streets – but please don’t try and use the car park opposite the Church, as you may find yourself getting clamped!  The nearest public car park is a couple of minutes’ walk up the road at Whites Place – drive up Forton Road towards Fareham, and turn left at the Co-Op. With good bus routes and cycle tracks nearby (not to mention the benefits to the environment), we’d advise leaving the car at home if you possibly can.
